Silchar: Police Arrest Five Members of Bajrang Dal For Attacking Muslim Family

According to reports, these miscreants attacked the family during a protest which was carried out by Bajrang Dal over hijab issue in Karnataka.

New Delhi: Silchar Police on Thursday arrested five members of Bajrang Dal for allegedly attacking a Muslim family at Trunk road near All India Radio Station in Assam's Silchar.

According to reports, these miscreants attacked the family during a protest which was carried out by Bajrang Dal over hijab issue in Karnataka.

The arrested persons were identified as Hitesh Ghosh, Chiranjit Kumar Sinha, Sunny Dev, Susan Das and Nibash Paul.

''Some youths allegedly attack a Muslim family near All India Radio. Two ladies and one male person sustained injuries and their car was also damaged,'' said Cachar Superintendent of Police, Ramandeep Kaur while speaking to media.

He further apprised that in this regard, a complaint was lodged by the family and during the investigation we found some evidences and on the basis of those evidences, five youths were apprehended.
