HAFLONG: In continuation of their agitation the All Dimasa Students' Union (ADSU), Dimasa Students' Union (DSU) and Dimasa Mothers' Association staged sit-in in front the office of the Deputy Commissioner in Haflong on Wednesday demanding CBI inquiry into Santosh Hojai's killing, immediate arrest of culprits, compensation to Hojai's family and appropriate justice.

Agnes Gorlosa, president of DMA, Pramith Sengyung, general secretary of DSU and Uttam Langthasa, president of ADSU, said, "We will be agitating by staging sit-in for for three days from today till May 22 despite lockdown till the government orders for CBI enquiry and fulfils our other demands. We feel that by transferring the Dima Hasao SP and DSP at a time when there have been widespread protests alleging the involvement of DSP Surjya Kanta Morang in the killing of Hojai, the government has insulted the people of Dima Hasao. There has been a conspiracy to disturb the peace and development in the region with such incidents of kidnapping and killing but the people of Dima Hasao will not allow any force to create disturbances in the hill district of the State."
