DEMOW: Under the patronage of the All Tai Ahom Students' Union (ATASU), Demow Regional Committee and in association with the people of Demow, the triennial Kendriya Siu-Ka-Pha Divas (Asom Divas) - 2020 was observed in Demow Public Field on Wednesday.
A colourful cultural procession was taken out on the occasion. Earthen lamps were lit in front of portrait of Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha in Demow Public Field on Wednesday evening. The 'Asom Konwar' and ' Asom Konwari' competitions were organized on the occasion. Popular singers Diganta Mohan and Nilakshi Neog performed in the cultural night programme.
Siu-Ka-Pha Divas was also observed near Demow in Saragua Public Bhavan. On the occasion, a book titled Aoitijyamanditya Rajdhani Sarugua was released which was written by Purna Gogoi, a historian and a retired teacher of Demow.
