SIVASAGAR: Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav asked the officials of P&RD and PHE departments to expeditiously complete all the ongoing schemes under their departments and ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the grassroots people.
Chairing a review meeting at his office chamber on Tuesday evening, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officials concerned to accelerate the progress of the work of the Jal Jeevan Mission, a flagship scheme of the Government of India and ensure smooth implementation of the scheme in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the officials to ensure that the beneficiaries of Jal Jeevan Mission get clean drinking water on a regular basis. He urged the officials not to compromise on the quality of work of the Jal Jeevan Mission for any reason. He directed the officers to inspect each water supply scheme responsibly and submit detailed report for the successful implementation of the flagship scheme of the Government of India in the Sivasagar district. The meeting also discussed the works being implemented under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) in the district.
The progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and Amrit Sarovar Scheme being implemented under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department were also discussed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner urged Block Development Officers to complete the works of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) properly and expeditiously within the stipulated time and to be vigilant so that no miscreants can take advantage of it.
The meeting was attended by CEO of Zila Parishad, Aswini Kumar Doley, Additional Deputy Commissioner Geetalee Duwarah, Assistant Commissioner Manali Prasad Rajak, Block Development Officers of the district and officials of PHE and P&RD departments.
