SIVASAGAR: Following the directives of Chief Minister of Assam, Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Megha Nidhi Dahal reviewed the progress of Central Government's one of the flag-ship projects Jal Jeevan Mission, being implemented in Sivasagar district. The review meeting was held in presence of all the officials of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Sivasagar, as well as all the contractors working under PHED, in the Syukafa Conference Hall of DC's Office, Sivasagar.
The Deputy Commissioner called upon all concerned to pay special attention to the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission, one of the most important flag-ship projects of the Central Government in the district. He directed all the departmental contractors to maintain the quality standards in the field of Jal Jeevan Mission work. He also gave instructions to complete the work of the scheme within the stipulated time. The deputy commissioner assured all possible assistance from the district administration for the successful implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission. He also said that strict action would be taken against such official or the contractor in case of any errors or substandard work, in the successful implementation of the scheme.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Karmadev Brahma and Dilip Shyam, Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, Sivasagar.
