SIVASAGAR: A review meeting with president and secretaries of 82 village panchayats of Sivasagar district was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar, Megha Nidhi Dahal on Wednesday.
The meeting was also attended by Sivasagar Zila Parishad CEO Aswini Doley, District Development Commissioner Subhan Gowala, Additional Deputy Commissioner Karmadev Brahma, Zila Parishad president Dhrubajyoti Maut, along with several other dignitaries.
In order to ensure that the people of all the areas of the district get the benefits of government schemes properly and on time, the meeting discussed about how to build coordination with the elected representatives of the panchayat with various departments of the district and to bring the beneficiaries close to the administrative machinery through panchayat. The meeting also discussed that all the departments should play a positive role in providing appropriate government facilities to the beneficiaries.
In addition, the Deputy Commissioner directed to hold gaon sabha (village meetings) in every gaon panchayat of the district on July 1 on the occasion of 'Sivasagar Divas'.
