DHUBRI: A one-day self-reliant and skill development orientation programme was organized under the auspices of the youth wing of BJP, Dhubri District Yuva Morcha at Chilarai College auditorium in Golokganj on Wednesday.

Altogether five sessions were held on various topics and ways out to earn livelihood and become self-reliant in life, including opportunities of financial assistance being extended and skill development training imparted by the Central as well as State governments.

Besides these, a special suggestive session on Swarojgar Yojana was also held to create awareness, particularly targeting the unemployed youths of the district in programme.

Earlier, the session began with the inaugural speech by the president of Dhubri District Yuva Morcha, Nirmalya Paul who in his speech appealed to the unemployed youths to come forward and avail the opportunities offered by the government in becoming self-reliant by setting up small commercial trade and industry.

Five sessions on various topics and subjects were addressed by City Project Manager of Assam Skill Development Mission under the Assam State Urban Livelihood Mission, Lachit Deka, Dhubri District Project Manager of Assam Skill Development Mission, Dilroz Reza, Dhubri District Manager of Industry and Commerce Centre, Nirmal Kumar Das, Dhubri District Project Manager of Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Asif Ahmed and Dhubri District Lead Bank Manager, Rohit Kumar.

While delivering the valedictory speech, Dhubri District BJP president Prosenjit Dutta made a fervent appeal to over 300 unemployed youths attending the programme to grab the opportunities offered by the government for them in various sectors to become self-reliant.
