MORIGAON: Pradeep Ch. Deka (97), a social worker of Morigaon who got superannuation in 1993 as a district officer of Handloom & Textile department of Meghalaya government passed away due to old age ailments on Friday evening at his residence at Dandua. He served as the president of Rongmon Aaulia Dargah committee, Dandua for a long time. Moreover, Pradeep Deka was the president of the managing committee of Maghi festival. As a social worker he played a pioneer role for the organizations represented by him. A gloomy situation prevailed at his residence as the news of his demise spread across the district. Morigaon Zila Sambadik Santhan , Morigaon Sambadik Samaj, AASU, KRSS expressed grief over his death.
