Dibrugarh: The Jyoti Lalita Kanoi Foundation under Green Energy Project installed solar lamps at three prestigious institutions of Dibrugarh. The solar lamps were installed at DHSK College, MDK Girls' College and DHSK Law College in Dibrugarh.

Speaking to the correspondent, Jyoti Prasad Kanoi, chairman of Jyoti Lalita Foundation said, "We have installed the solar lamps in three institutions of Dibrugarh under CSR activity of our foundation. Solar power is the number one source of renewal energy. Solar lighting is a great way to transition to going green."

"It takes absolutely nothing from grid power and is naturally produced. The LED lighting uses a battery that charges up on solar power during the day, and at night it dips into the power supply to illuminate the desired area. This is a process that repeats daily without using any other form of energy," Jyoti Prasad Kanoi said. He said, "Jyoti Lalita Kanoi Foundation has been established with the objectives to contribute towards the development of student facilities and infrastructure to support the growth of education in the State of Assam, more particularly in Dibrugarh."
