Sonitpur district NTEP initiated 'Jan Andolon in Tuberculosis'

A ‘TB sensitization’ meeting among pregnant women and adolescent girls was held at Rupajuli Tea Estate in Sonitpur district on Saturday.

TEZPUR. A 'TB sensitization' meeting among pregnant women and adolescent girls was held at Rupajuli Tea Estate in Sonitpur district on Saturday. The programme was organized by the 'Sonitpur District Tuberculosis Centre'.

District Tuberculosis Officer Dr Sanjoy Roy, MOTC Dr Sameer Sarma, STS Abhijit Lahkar, PPM Joydeep Roy along with SMO of Rupajuli Dr Rajen Roy & garden manager Rajdeep Buragohain spoke on the occasion.

Under the 'National TB Eradication Programme' to make India TB free, like all other States in India, Sonitpur DTC has been in the limelight from time to time for conducting and implementing various successful programmes. The 'Jan-Andolan is yet another programme. Its motto is involving community participation from various walks of life and carrying out sensitization programmes.
