DHEKIAJULI: Sonitpur Police and CRPF battalion on Saturday conducted flag march from Garuduba village to Bhorasingori to bring normalcy in the curfew-bound Dhekiajuli and Thelamara Police Station areas.

The flag march campaign was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh, Sonitpur Superintendent of Police Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta, Numal Mahatta, Additional SP (HQ), and the army Commandant Dinesh Sing Chandel along with several other police officers. Police appealed to the citizens to maintain law and order in the area.

On the other hand, Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das, Dhekiajuli MLA Ashok Simghal, Borsola MLA Ganesh Limbu and Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika visited Goruduba and assured the people that the issue would be taken up with the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, normalcy has been gradually restored in Dhekiajuli and Thelamara Police Station areas.
