GUWAHATI: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood attended the closing ceremony of Bodoland International Knowledge Festival on 2nd March, Thursday and spoke about a numerous events.
Sood, who is renowned for assisting thousands of migrant workers in reaching their homes during the COVID period, claimed that time has altered his outlook on life.
When the first lockdown was announced in 2020, he reserved chartered planes and buses for the stranded migrants.
“I've participated in approximately 100 films in a variety of languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Mandarin, and English. The movies saw success. I was successful. But after COVID arrived and I was introduced to folks I didn't know, I never ran across them again and probably won't”, the actor stated.
“As a result of our connection, I benefited from their prayers. I might, deliberately or unknowingly, make their lives happier. Suddenly I understood that life is the ultimate success", Sonu Sood made the comment on Thursday while addressing a crowd of supporters in Kokrajhar.
The actor continued to reflect on the COVID era by stating that his bond with Bodoland and Assam began in 2020.
Also, he exhorted the young people of Bodoland to support one another and cooperate for the benefit of the area.
The actor was also seen dancing on traditional songs with all smiles.
Rameswar Teli, the Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, praised Pramod Boro, the head of BTR, for arranging the knowledge festival, while he was also present at the concluding ceremony.
Speaking during the event, BTR CEO Pramod Boro noted that the knowledge festival's final four days saw several encouraging developments.
The Bodoland International Knowledge Festival, organised by Bodoland University with active cooperation from the BTR Government, featured more than 25 seminars during its final four days.
