Sootea police seized 400 cartons of liquor made in Arunachal Pradesh

A total of 400 cartons of liquor made in Arunachal Pradesh were seized by Sootea police in the early hours of Thursday.

JAMUGURIHAT: A total of 400 cartons of liquor made in Arunachal Pradesh were seized by Sootea police in the early hours of Thursday. According to information, a team of Sootea police, under the leadership of Kalpajit Sarma, officer in-charge, and Binod Das, ASI, stopped a rice-laden truck bearing registration number WB 25-3331 in front of the police station and recovered 400 cartons of Arunachali liquor from it. The truck was bound for Guwahati from Bandardewa. The excise department, Biswanath, has registered a case and took the truck in their possession later on.
