KOKRAJHAR: Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary on Monday visited the residence of journalist Jaiklong Brahma at Thulungapuri, Kokrajhar to see his ailing wife Chitra Brahma who has been under treatment since long. She has been in the hospital for long with difficulty in kidney.
Speaker Daimary talked to Chitra Brahma, his husband Jaiklong Brahma and enquired about her health. He hoped that she will get well soon if her kidneys got transplant on the basis of necessity. He said the family had been preparing and taking necessary initiatives for better treatment. Later, Speaker Daimary donated Rs. 1 lakh from his side to ailing Chitra Brahma on humanity ground for some help in treatment.
Diabetes patient Chitra Brahma got affected with COVID-19 in 2021 and had been in quarantine for long after which her health deteriorated post COVID. She was taken to various hospitals in and outside State. She was taken to Hyderabad, Nepal and Kolkata recently but brought back to home last week. Now, her both kidneys have damaged.\
