Special camps for electoral registration in educational institutions in Kokrajhar

The students who are in the age group of 17 to 18 years and are prospective voters and yet to get registered in the Electoral Roll will be able to enrol themselves

KOKRAJHAR: As per direction from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Assam, the District Election Officer (DEO), Kokrajhar, Varnali Deka held a press conference on Thursday at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office, Kokrajhar and solicited wide publicity on the ongoing special camps in educational institutions for awareness as well as registration of prospective and yet to be enrolled electors there in. She provided details of the schedules of the ongoing special camps and shared the links for online registration. She also shared with the media fraternity that special campaigns have been undertaken by the Block Level Officers (BLO) in their respective polling stations for registration of prospective electors and young generations.

The students who are in the age group of 17 to 18 years and are prospective voters and yet to get registered in the Electoral Roll will be able to enrol themselves on the spot through online portal i.e. voters.eci.gov.in which they should prefer and also on offline mode through form-6. The DEO Office will take up a number of degree level institutions and Higher Secondary level schools for the special camps undertaken for the purpose. DEO, Kokrajhar, Varnali Deka urged all new voters to get their names included in the electoral rolls through this special camp.
