Assam: Spoken English Course Launched in Gohpur's Chaiduar College

In a bid to enhance the speaking skills of students, particularly NCC and NSS cadets, the students of Self Help Club of Chaiduar College, Gohpur has introduced a Spoken English Course.

BISWANATH CHARIALI: In a bid to enhance the speaking skills of students, particularly NCC and NSS cadets, the students of Self Help Club of Chaiduar College, Gohpur has introduced a Spoken English Course. The inauguration ceremony took place on Monday at the conference hall of the college, marking a significant milestone in the academic development of the institution under the enthusiastic initiative of the course supervisors, Vophong Rangphar from the Department of Commerce, Pallabi Gohain from the Department of Mass Media and Mridu Pavan Sharma, Assistant Librarian of Chaiduar College.

Presiding over the event, Dr Kishor Singh Rajput, Principal of Chaiduar College, highlighted the importance of effective communication skills in today’s globalized world. Emphasizing the need for enhanced English proficiency, Dr Rajput encouraged the participants to make the most of this unique student-driven initiative. Dr. Sushanta Borah and Jonali Borah, faculties of Botany Department, graced the programme and encouraged the students greatly.

The inauguration ceremony commenced with the soulful rendition of the patriotic song ‘O Mur Apunar Desh’. Addressing the gathering, Dr Arindam Sarmah, Associate Professor, expressed his appreciation for the students’ initiative and commended their efforts to improve their language skills.
