MORIGAON: A day-long training camp under the farmers’ club Jeevan Jeuti Krishak Sangha was held on Sunday at Oujar. The organization trained altogether 300 youth farmers under the District Agriculture Department for System of Rice Intensification (SRI) farming methodology. With an aim to cultivate in various agri-based areas like Kukurmari, Singimari, Panikhaiti, Bagariguri and Jerengagaon under Baghara GP under the SRI farming methodology 2019-20 scheme, the agriculture department has trained farmers through the Jeevan Jeuti Krishak Sangha at Oujari’s club. The department also distributed seeds (Bodo crops) among the farmers free of cost so that each farmer can produce 40 kg paddy in one bigha land.
