SSB Director General Rashmi Shukla visits Bhairabkunda in Udalguri

In a goodwill gesture to strengthen the bond of brotherhood and cooperation between India and Bhutan, SSB Director General Rashmi Shukla, visited Daifam Gate 23 Battalion of SSB at Bhairabkunda in Udalguri district on Monday as part of the tour work of Frontier Tezpur, where she interacted with Bhutanese counterpart as well as local administration.

TANGLA: In a goodwill gesture to strengthen the bond of brotherhood and cooperation between India and Bhutan, SSB Director General Rashmi Shukla, visited Daifam Gate (Indo-Bhutan Border) 23 Battalion of SSB at Bhairabkunda in Udalguri district on Monday as part of the tour work of Frontier Tezpur, where she interacted with Bhutanese counterpart as well as local administration and exchanged greetings.

During the interaction programme with the Bhutanese counterpart, Shukla said that this relationship can always be maintained through mutual brotherhood and cooperation. She also attended and addressed a Sainik Sammelan of SSB personnel at Company Headquarters Bhairabkunda and joined them for a high tea.

On the occasion of tour, Chief Forest Officer, circle officer and SDO were present as the representatives of Bhutan. Inspector General Frontier Headquarters Tezpur Vinod Nayak, Deputy Inspector General Sector Headquarters Bejpara, Anthony Thami, Commanding officer, 23Bn commanding officer, Praveen Kumar, 61Bn SSB officer, Raj Kumar Khalkho and SSB jawans were present. DH Shukla also visited the Indo-Bhutan Daifam Gate and took first hand experience of the problems from the local officials of Bhutan and expressed her views and wished for Indo-Bhutan friendly cooperation.
