Staff nurse and sweeper of FAAMCH test COVID-19 positive

BARPETA: A staff nurse of the Dermatology Department and a sweeper of the mate-rnity ward of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAA-MCH), Barpeta have tested positive for COVID-19.

The staff nurse has been identified as Anjuwara Begum and she had been in home quarantine since the last four days. The sweeper has been identified as Tulsi Basfore. Earlier also two junior doctors, one dresser and three health workers had tested positive. They are admitted in FAAMCH COVID ward. Again, two patients admitted in the maternity ward of FAAMCH have tested positive. Jahiran Nesa (30), wife of Afjal Hussain of Tapeswara, Kalgachiya, was admitted in the maternity ward few days ago and her swab test was taken. She tested positive today and was immediately shifted to the COVID ward.

Saraswati Das (25), wife of Deepak Das of Patiladaha, Bongaigaon district, was admitted in the maternity ward and she too tested positive. Her two-day old baby has also tested positive.

On the other hand, one Bikash Das of Patbousi village, Barpeta came from Tamil Nadu and was quarantined at Hotel Plaza. His swab test result came positive. Kalyan Bayan (31) of Galiahati, Barpeta town has also tested positive. His swab test was taken on June 27 after he arrived from Guwahati. Bhabesh Sarma and Dharmendra Kalita tested positive at FAAMCH but their addresses have not been found as yet.
