State Finance Minister Himanta promises to set up engineering college at Bhawanipur

PATHSALA: Campaigning reached its peak on Wednesday at Patacharkuchi and Bhawanipur LAC with the visits of leaders of various parties.

A high voltage electioneering meeting was arranged at Puthimari where State Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma assured the people to set up one engineering college at Bhawanipur in memory of Swahid Khargeswar Talukdar, besides one GNM Institute and another paramedical institute in the locality.

He also said that the BJP-led government was successful in development of the State on various fronts, besides giving facility of free admission to the students, giving tiffin allowance to students, giving Scooty and books free of cost. In the coming day, more such schemes will be taken for implementation, he said. The meeting was also attended by Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) leaders Atul Bora and Keshab Mahanta, besides other leaders.
