Guwahati: Assam Government has received 2, 540 requests for home delivery of scarce medicines till 8pm on April 26, said Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The State Health Department has of late launched a scheme known as Dhanantari Scheme for home delivery of scarce medicines. Responding to the scheme a large of people contacted with the authority. Revealing this Health Minister Sarma said, “So heartening of kind of our Dhanantari initiative is creating. Till 8 pm 2540 requests have been received out of which 766 deliveries done at home. Medicines for 10 districts despatched from Guwahati and we are hopeful of reaching 1000plus patients by tomorrow morning.”
