Student 'denied' of prize and certificate in talent search in Kokrajhar district

A student of Hel High School of Kokrajhar district on Monday was allegedly denied of award and certificate in the talent search programme organized by Rastriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA), Kokrajhar district.

KOKRAJHAR: A student of Hel High School of Kokrajhar district on Monday was allegedly denied of award and certificate in the talent search programme organized by Rastriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA), Kokrajhar district. The school authority expressed resentment and demanded that the talented student should not be deprived.

In a statement released by the Headmaster of Hel High School, Satya Narayan Mashahary, he said that some students of his school under teacher in-charge Rabiram Hazowary, participated in the talent search programme held at Debargaon Higher Secondary School field under the aegis of Kokrajhar district RMSA on Monday. He said that Aden Rabha, one of the school students studying in Class IX came second in the 100-metre race in the first round. The same student came first in the second and third rounds in the same race but despite the fact, Rabha was not given prize and certificate.

The Headmaster added that teacher in-charge Rabiram Hazowary approached the organizer for prize but nothing happened. The school authority vehemently criticized the organizer and demanded that there should be fair re-examination of the score sheet.
