Summer camp organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell in Tinsukia

DOOMDOOMA: In a bid to promote wide variety of specialized activities like performing arts, music, tree plantation, health and wellness, a summer camp was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Padma Nath Gohain Baruah Government Model College, Kakopather in Tinsukia district. The summer camp started with lighting of lamp by the Khema Nath Gogoi, former Associate Professor, Department of History, Doomdooma College. He along with Dr. Thanu Ram Majinder, Principal, PNGB Government Model College and the college fraternity took part in the inaugural session of the summer camp.

In his talk on “Understanding India”, Khema Gogoi said that India was a country of unity in diversity and the present generation should acquaint themselves with the knowledge of the Indus Valley Civilization. He urged the youths to focus on learning India holistically to have a good grasp of our cultural heritage and intellectual growth. “We all know that if we didn't understand our culture, we wouldn't be who we are today,” he added.
