Swahid Peoli Phukan College of Amguri Town gets A grade from NAAC

Swahid Peoli Phukan (SPP) College established in 1970 is one of the premier higher educational institute in greater Namti area on the outskirts of Amguri Town in Sivasagar district.

GAURISAGAR: Swahid Peoli  Phukan (SPP) College established in 1970 is one of the premier higher educational institute in greater Namti area on the outskirts of Amguri Town in Sivasagar district. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college  A grade with CGPA of 3.12  on a seven point scale valid for a period of  5 years from January 17. The NAAC peer team visited the college on November 1 and November 2, 2023 and took stock of all academic and allied aspects of the college.

The NAAC peer team was led by chairperson Prof (Dr) Suresh Chand, senior professor, former Dean of Faculty, Head of Department, Co-ordinator UGC SP Programme, school of life sciences, Devi Ahilya University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh along with  Dr.Ashan Riddi, Director, Institute of Distance Education, Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh and Dr.Lata More, Principal, Sane Guruji Vidya Prabodhini  comprehensive College of Education, Maharashtra.

The NAAC Peer team convened a meeting with the college principal, heads of all departments.They also visited and inspected all departments. The team also interacted with the teachers, students, parents and alumni. All the stakeholders of the college cordially participated  in the two days assessment process. The principal of the college Dr.Dhrubajyoti Nath has expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to all concerned for their goodwill and cooperation during the process of NAAC assessment.
