LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur district unit of Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Asom (TAYPA) on Thursday evening paid deep tribute to the Assam police personnel who were killed in the Assam-Mizoram border clash on Monday.

On this occasion, the activists of the organization lit earthen lamp at the Main Chariali of North Lakhimpur town around 7 pm. By initiating the programme, the activists of the organization prayed for the quick recovery of the injured police personnel who are under treatment at present. TAYPA central committee organizing secretary Dipul Tamuli Phukan, Lakhimpur district secretary Pranjal Hilton Konwar, city committee president Siddhartha Gogoi and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
