TINSUKIA: Ledu College organized an educational talk on Dr BR Ambedkar's philosophy and his contribution to the nation at the college auditorium on Wednesday.
The event was organized by the Department of Political Science in association with Anita Das Memorial Educational Foundation and Legal Care and Service, Digboi. Addressing the gathering as invited speaker, Gopal Chandra Das, former assistant commissioner of Custom and Central Excise, elaborated how Ambedkar attempted to give justice to discriminated society through reformation. Another speaker, Dr Prabhat Sharma, former professor of Digboi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, spoke on social responsibilities of the younger generation. Chaired by Dr Kripa Prasad Upadhyaya, Principal of Ledu College, the programme was attended by more than 400 students, besides faculty members of the college.
