Talk on Russia-Ukraine War organized by LTK College and North Lakhimpur Press Club

The Political Science Department of Lakhimpur-Telahi-Kamalaboria (LTK) College and North Lakhimpur Press Club (NLPC) jointly organized a popular talk on Russia-Ukraine War

LAKHIMPUR: The Political Science Department of Lakhimpur-Telahi-Kamalaboria (LTK) College and North Lakhimpur Press Club (NLPC) jointly organized a popular talk on Russia-Ukraine War on Saturday.

The event commenced with Vice-Principal Bidyut Chutia in the chair. It was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Bubul Kumar Saikia. In his lecture, Dr. Saikia threw light on the impact of a series of wars that the world had witnessed in the past days. Attending the event as a resource person NLPC president Kumud Baruah explained the background of the Russia-Ukraine War and its impact upon the international trade.

On the other hand, the Head of the Department of Geography, LTK College, Professor Diganta Saikia highlighted the causes that prompted the Russia-Ukraine war. NLPC assistant secretary Bubul Hazarika delivered his lecture on Russia-Ukraine War and International Diplomacy. On the other hand, NLPC magazine editor Ranjit Kakati delivered his lecture on Russia-Ukraine War: Its International Impact and Human Civilization.

In the event, a resolution was taken to circulate an appeal to stop the war at the earliest on humanitarian ground. In the same event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between the Department of Political Science, LTK College and North Lakhimpur Press Club to initiate various programmes for academic and intellectual development in the district. The professors and students were present at the event.
