LAKHIMPUR: The Telahi-Kamalaboria Anchalik Sakha Xahitya Xabha, one of the most active regional units of the Axam Xahitya Xabha, celebrated the Asom Divas in addition to holding the ‘Gharuwa Mel’ initiated by the literary body regularly for the practice of literature.
The event was organized at Kamalaboria village, at the residential premises of Guna Kanta Koch, the vice-president of the literary body, as per his invitation. It commenced with president Haren Hazarika in the chair and under the management of secretary Dulal Dutta. The agenda of the programmes began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by retired headmaster Dina Borah and presentation of a Borgeet by Kuhi Dutta. Then rich tribute was paid to Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha by the guests and attendees of the event.
