Tezpur: DC Deba Kumar Mishra handed over synthesizer keyboard to Sonitpur's Dipak Boro

Dipak Boro, during an encounter with the Chief Minister in Tezpur on April 8, 2023, had requested the CM to help him fulfill his aspirations of becoming a musician.

TEZPUR: Deputy Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra on Wednesday handed over a synthesizer keyboard to 22-year-old Dipak Boro hailing from Borsola Lac, Sonitpur, on behalf of CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Dipak Boro, during an encounter with the Chief Minister in Tezpur on April 8, 2023, had requested the CM to help him fulfill his aspirations of becoming a musician. Impressed with Dipak Boro’s rendition of popular song Mayabini by Zubeen Garg, CM Dr Sarma had promised to help the young aspiring musician to help pursue his dreams. And as part of that promise, DC Sonitpur handed over the keyboard bought with funds from the CM’s Relief Fund and handed it over to the youth at a brief ceremony held at the conference hall of the DC office in the presence of senior district administration officials and mediapersons.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister, Boro dedicated Dr Bhupen Hazarika’s ‘Manuhe Manuhor Babe’ in his honour before all the mediapersons present. Deputy Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra has taken responsibility to impart proper training to Dipak Boro under the guidance of a reputed music teacher of Tezpur. Dipak Boro hails from Gariapathar of Borsola under Sonitpur district and is currently working as a housekeeping staff in one of the hotels in Tezpur town.
