Tezpur University Organizes a Faculty Induction Programme Focused on Indian Knowledge Systems

The Teaching Learning Centre (TLC), Tezpur University (TU) is organizing a Faculty Induction Program (FIP) focusing on Indian Knowledge Systems from August 2 to August 31.

TEZPUR: The Teaching Learning Centre (TLC), Tezpur University (TU) is organizing a Faculty Induction Program (FIP) focusing on Indian Knowledge Systems from August 2 to August 31. TLC, TU has been organizing a series of such programmes since 2017 under Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission aimed at improving the quality of education at all levels by infusing quality and excellence in teachers and teaching.

This month-long Online FIP is recognized by UGC vide UGC Regulation 2018. As per UGC Regulations 2018, all newly recruited assistant professors must undergo Induction Training within probation period. However, other interested faculty members can also apply.

The Induction programme for teachers shall prepare and skill the new recruits in inculcating the highest standards of teaching and learning including the latest developments. The uniform structure of the programme will also ensure similar preparedness for teachers across the country. The Indian Knowledge System will be an important part of this Faculty Induction Programme.

The university invited faculty members of universities, colleges and institutions of higher education to participate in the Induction programme. University/college/institute teachers who have not undergone such month-long induction training/orientation programme are eligible for participation in the programme. Interested teachers may visit www.tezu.ernet.in/tlc for further details. Last date for registration is July 31.
