Tezpur University researchers win coveted DRDO award

TEZPUR: A team from Tezpur University comprising Amlan J. Kalita, Dr. Nayan M. Kakoty, Lakhyajit Gohain and Krishna Sharma secured 2nd position in the Dare to Dream Innovation Contest 3.0 under the theme Cognitive Technologies for Sensing and Adaptation organized by Defense Research and Development Organization, Government of India. The award was given by the Defence Minister, Government of India on October 20 in the DefExpo 2022, Gujrat. The award comprised of citation and an amount Rs. 4,00,000.

Apart from individual recognitions, projects under Dr. Kakoty have been awarded IEEE Best Student Project award for two consecutive years 2012 and 2013, and SK Mukharjee Gold Medal during Student Research Convention 2013 organized by Association of Indian Universities.
