Tezpur University to document unsung heroes of Northeast

TEZPUR: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Department of Cultural Studies, Tezpur University and Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, (CCRT), Ministry of Culture, New Delhi at the office of the Head, Cultural Studies, Tezpur University.

The MoU aims to establish academic engagement between the two parties on a major collaborative project, Digital District Repository (DDR) under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) and CCRT, Ministry of Culture. This project will document the stories related to Indian Freedom Struggle of all the districts, including the rich cultural repository and cultural heritage of India. The Department of Cultural Studies specifically will focus on unsung heroes related to Indian Freedom Struggle of all the districts of the northeastern part of India.

The MoU was signed by Professor Debarshi Prasad Nath, Head, Cultural Studies and Dibakar Das, Deputy Director, Scholarship and Fellowship, CCRT, New Delhi.
