Assam: The highly infectious pig disease which spread almost across Assam is yet to be identified, said State Agriculture and Veterinary Minister Atul Bora. However, the disease that has created massive panic among people of some districts in the state amid the coronavirus outbreak cannot transmit to the human body. Claiming that Minister Bora twitted, “Pig disease not yet identified is not capable of being transmitted to the human body. It only gets transmitted from pig to pig at rapid speed. Hence, humans and consumption of pork banned for the safety of pigs. Being directed by the Hon’ble CM this step is taken to remove confusion.”
