Tika Divas celebrated at work place for employees in Dima Hasao

The District Health Society, Dima Hasao and Dist. Family Welfare, Dima Hasao celebrated "Tika Utsav", COVID-19 vaccination session at work place for employees above the age of 45 years in Dima Hasao.

HAFLONG: The District Health Society, Dima Hasao and Dist. Family Welfare, Dima Hasao celebrated "Tika Utsav", COVID-19 vaccination session at work place for employees above the age of 45 years in Dima Hasao. The session began with North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong on Tuesday.

As many as 69 persons have been vaccinated with Covaxin under the age of 45 to 59 in council secretariat in today's Tika Divas. Principal Secy, NCHAC, L.Z.Nampui was also administered the first shot of COVID-19 vaccine today. Other officials like Saindas Ardao, Secy, NCHAC, M.J Thaosen, Dy. Secy, NCHAC, A Jeme, Judge, NCHAC Court, etc were also seen taking the first shot of vaccine during the Tika Divas along with the officers and staff at the Council Secretariat.

Even as many parts of the world continue to grapple with newer waves and variants of COVID-19, the vaccination is widely being administered in various parts of India including Dima Hasao, Assam. It is to be noted that some of the employees under various department including council secretariat have already been given the second dose of vaccine earlier, mostly in course of their recently conducted election duties.

As per the record, in Dima Hasao 17,198 persons have been vaccinated with the first and second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Those vaccinated includes health care workers, front line workers, senior citizens above the age of 60 years and those above 45 years of age. There are as many as 9,232 yet to take the second shot of the vaccine who are lined up for the necessary waiting period after their first dose.
