TINSUKIA: Tinsukia district administration held a programme to distribute land patta/allotment certificates to landless people under Revenue and Disaster Management Department Assam in the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia on Monday with DC Tinsukia Diganta Saikia in the chair in presence of Sanjay Kishan, Minister of State for Tea Tribes Welfare Department and Labour. The MLAs of Sadiya, Digboi, Chabua and Doomdooma were also present.

Although the target for the district was 2,633, the four revenue circles of the district exceeded the target by 118 and prepared 2,751 numbers of patta/allotment certificates for the landless families of the district, stated a DIPR Tinsukia press release.

JAGIROAD: The Morigaon district administration on Monday distributed land patta to 1,628 landless indigenous families. Minister Pijush Hazarika attended the session as the chief guest while Morigaon MLA and chairman of Fishfed, Ramakanta Deuri attended as guest of honour. The objectives of the meeting were explained by Morigaon Deputy Commissioner Lina Das. Superintendent of Police Nanda Singh Barkola and Circle Officer, Mayong RC also attended the session.

GOLAGHAT: A land patta distribution programme was held at Golaghat district library on Monday under the aegis of Golaghat district administration. Attending the programme as chief guest, State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora distributed the pattas to the beneficiaries. Altogether 3,151 land pattas and 669 allotment letters were distributed to the beneficiaries under the six revenue circles of Golaghat district. In the programme, Khumtai MLA Mrinal Saikia and former MLA of Sarupathar, Binod Guwala were present.
