Tinsukia district administration ordered magisterial inquiry

TINSUKIA: After 9 children fell ill and hospitalized following consumption of sooji fed to them at Na-Maithong Anganwadi centre under Miathong Gaon Panchyat on Friday, the Tinsukia district administration has ordered a magisterial level inquiry on Saturday based on the report submitted by Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Kakopathar to ascertain the cause of the incident. Niluram Sarma assistant commissioner & executive magistrate will conduct the inquiry and to submit the report within 3 days. The incident took place when Na-Maithong AWC was observing Breast Feeding week.

Meanwhile the CDPO Kakopathar ICDS Project was directed by the Deputy Commissioner Tinsukia to put the Anganwadi worker and Anganwadi Helper of Na-Maithong Anganwadi centre under suspension with immediate effect.
