TINSUKIA: An extended executive meeting of the Tinsukia District Journalists' Association (TDJA) was held at Doomdooma Press Club on Tuesday with TDJA president Anuj Kalita in the chair. The meeting decided to hold National Press Day on November 16 at Margherita under the aegis of the Margherita Journalists' Association.
The meeting further resolved to hold 48th foundation day of TDJA on November 30 at TDJA's plot of land allotted by the Government at Borguri in Tinsukia with a daylong programme. TDJA secretary Rana Jyoti Neog informed that the foundation day programme will include the hoisting of the flag and plantation of saplings at the plot site while journalists meet of veteran and new will be held at TZP auditorium in the afternoon. The meeting also had a threadbare discussion on biennial conference of TDJA to be held under the aegis of Tinsukia Press Club in February 2023.
