TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia District Journalists' Association (TDJA), under the aegis of Tinsukia Press Club (TPC), observed with solemnity the second death anniversary of Bhadra Krishna Goswami, the founder president of TDJA and former president of Asom Satra Mahasabha, at Tinsukia Press Club (TPC) on Friday.

Chaired by Parag Bhuyan, i/c president of TDJA, senior journalist Himen Bhattacharjee as invited speaker dwelt at length on the life and multifaceted personality of Goswami who was an upright journalist and never compromised with his ideology. Highly revered by the press fraternity, Goswami dedicated his life for the well-being of the society, Bhattacharjee said.

Among others who spoke in the commemorative gathering were senior journalists Monuranjan Das, Monoj Dutta and Anuj Kalita. The programme was moderated by Ranajyoti Neog, secretary of TDJA. Earlier, Saroj Gohain, president of TPC, paid floral tribute at the portrait of Goswami. More than 40 journalists representing press clubs of Sadiya, Saikhowa, Digboi, Doomdooma, Tinsukia, Kakopathar and Margherita participated in the programme.
