MORIGAON: A complaint against the Assam State Capital Region Development Authority Act-2017 (ASCRDAA) has been made by Tiwa organizations. In a statement to The Sentinel, president of Assam Tiwa Students’ Union Dharmashing Bordoloi, Tiwa Sahitya Sabha general secretary Dr. Bidyut Bikash Senapati, TYCP president Dilip Bordoloi, TPC secretary Sejoy Deuri and TCS president Phukan Karkh threatened to call 24-hour and 36-hour middle Assam bandhs on March 12 and March 20 respectively if the State Government does not agree to cancel the Act from the Tiwa Autonomous Council area immediately.

The organizations also said that State Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma proposed to remove the Assam State Capital Region Development Authority Act -2017 from the Rava Hasong Autonomous Council’s area during the Budget session. The organizations have expressed grief for not announcing a single word against the removal of the Act from the TAC areas.

But the organizations thanked the minister for removing the Act from the Rava Hasong Council area and have demanded the government to remove the Act immediately.
