LAKHIMPUR: A total of 13 COVID-19 patients were detected in Lakhimpur district on Monday. All of these newly detected patients are the inhabitants of Bordoibam area under Dhakuakhana subdivision of the district.
They have been identified as Dorkanta Baruah (22) of Gohoraguri, Buli Nayeak Rabha (20), Lilawoti Rajkonwar (52) Bablu Rajkonwar (33), Juli Rajkonwar (28), Mriganki Rajkonwar (12), Gitarthi Rajkonwar (5) of Majigaon, Priyanka Gogoi (26), Bitusmin Gogoi (10) of Mohbol, Lakhinath Hasda (35), Benudhar Upadhyay (50), Biren Hasda (26) and Buddheswar Gohain (67) of Sakalaguri village under the same area.
As per report found from Ghilamora Health Block Office and Lakhimpur District Health Department, all of these patients came in contact with one Bipul Gogoi (33) of Mohbol Tiniali, who is a contractor by profession. He was detected positive for COVID -19 on July 8 and then hospitalized at Boginadi DCHC. He had visited a family living at Mohbol village to help the family with regard to arranging a traditional ceremony which was held on June 28 before he was detected positive for coronavirus. The number of COVID-19 patients who came in contact with Bipul Gogoi has risen up to 18 till date.
All these patients were shifted to Telshi DCH and Narayanpur DCHC. Bipul Gogoi was discharged from hospital on July 16.
