Traffic In Guwahati Diverted Ahead Of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu's Visit

The direction which was imposed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Guwahati was for October 3, 4, and 5.

Guwahati: The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Guwahati has imposed restrictions on vehicle movement ahead of the visit of vice president Venkaiah Naidu.

The direction which was imposed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Guwahati was for October 3, 4, and 5.

The National Highway No. 37 and 27 will be closed from 8 am to 9 pm on October 3 and from 5 am to 12 noon on October 4.

On the other hand, no commercial vehicles small/medium/heavy shall ply on DG Road, MG Road, Taibullah Road, GNB Road, B Boruah Road, GS Road and Panjabari Road from 6 am onwards.

In addition, all vehicles traveling from Bharalu to Chandmari will have to travel on the Yashwant Road via HB Road and then towards the NCB Hall in the direction of Chandmari on Sunday.

Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu will arrive in Guwahati on Sunday. He will inaugurate the heritage-cum-cultural centre at the old DC Bungalow (Kamrup-M) and a Pet MRI at the Guwahati Cancer Hospital. In the evening, he will give away the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Award at the Srimanta Sankaradeva International Auditorium at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra. He will leave for Shillong on Monday morning.
