Training of polling personnel and presiding officers held in Tinsukia

The Sadiya LAC, which comprises both north and south bank of River Brahmaputra, has geared up for the forthcoming election with completion of first phase of training of polling and presiding officers.

TINSUKIA: The Sadiya LAC, which comprises both north and south bank of River Brahmaputra, has geared up for the forthcoming election with completion of first phase of training of polling and presiding officers.

According to a press release issued by SDIPRO i/c Sadiya, 282 polling stations will be covered by 35 Sector Officers and 15 Zonal Officers while six teams of flying squads and static surveillance each have been constituted. Dr S Venugopal, the Expenditure Observer, after assuming charge has been monitoring the election preparedness. Transport Cell has made elaborate arrangements to carry personnel both by land and river routes.

The training programmes have been carried out in six venues on either side of the river and these are-Dangari HS School, Saikhowa HS School, Ujani Sadiya HS School, Sunrise Junior College and SDO office premises Chapakhowa.
