Training on ‘early childhood care and education’ concludes in Biswanath Chariali

BISWANATH CHARIALI: A five-day-long district-level resource persons’ training on ‘Early Childhood Care and Education’ was conducted by Samagra Sikhsa, Sonitpur in the collaborative efforts of SSA, Biswanath and the office of the BEEO-cum-BMC, Biswanath from November 20 to 25, 2023 at BMC Office, Biswanath Chariali.

A total of 28 Teachers and CRCCs from Biswanath, Behali and Chaiduar Educational Blocks participated in the Training Programme. The entire programme was eventfully completed by the KRPs Manisha Baishya, Lecturer, PSTE, DIET Sonitpur, Dimpy Khanikar and Nilakshi Phukan, Faculties of Normal School, Sootea, through different activities and play-way techniques, suitable for the pre-primary students, while it was coordinated by Bedabrat Borah, DPO (IE), SSA, Biswanath.

The Resource Persons of Inclusive Education of Biswanath Block, Charu Kamal Neog, Bandana Borkotoky, RP(IE), Lonima Borah Dutta and Biren Kujur, Grade AARP (IE) of BEEO-cum-BMC Office extended their helping hands to make the programme a grand success.

Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Mission Commissioner, Biswanath, Dhrubajyoti Das, Block Elementary Education Officers cum BMCs, Marami Mahato, Nabaratna Kakaty and Ranjan Das, Biswanath, Behali and Chaiduar, respectively, graced the programme. Addressing the participants, the speakers emphasized the importance of ECCE for future development of children and the importance of such training programmes to convey the message to the school and the community.

The training programme included topics like importance of ECCE, domains of development, multilingualism, art and sports integrated pedagogy, toy-based pedagogy, inclusive education, foundational literacy and numeracy, followed by the preparation of TLMs, demonstrations of different theme-based and domain-wise activities etc.

A field visit to nearby Anganwadi Centres was also undertaken as a part of this programme. During the visit, two Anganwadi Workers demonstrated different activities related to the domains of Child Development.
