Training program on capacity building for SHGs held in Hailakandi

A one-day training programme on capacity building for SHGs, User Group and Watershed Committee members under the Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) was organised by Soil Conservation department at SIRD Extension Centre at Boalipar here on Sunday.

HAILAKANDI: A one-day training programme on capacity building for SHGs, User Group and Watershed Committee members under the Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) was organised by Soil Conservation department at SIRD Extension Centre at Boalipar here on Sunday.

The programme was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Ranajeet Kumar Laskar. Resource persons of Fisheries department, Lucy Ingti and Binky Sharma and Dr.Ahoy Bain of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary department along with Syed Choudhury, faculty of UBI, RCT, Cachar spoke on various aspects of biofloc, poultry firm, goatery firm, local dairy firm for the benefits of SHG members.

Range Officer of Hailakandi Soil Conservation Range and WDT leader of East Kushiara IWMP, Debobrata Das along with Junior Engineer of Soil Conservation department, Komolesh Bhattacharjee discussed about the different schemes of Soil Conservation department for the benefit of SHG members and assetless poor. The training programme was conducted in association with Rural Development and Social Service Organisation.
