Training programme on Livestock concludes in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: A three-day training programme, organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Tinsukia at KVK training hall on Livestock based Integrated Farming System under the theme of 'Capacity Building of Farmers through Training Programmes on Profitable Dairy Farming and Livestock Management' concluded on Saturday.

A total of 45 interested rural youths, practising farmers and farm women of Gutibari and Dharia gaon villages attended the training programme. The inaugural session was chaired by Senior Scientist & Head, Gayatri Deori Bhuyan. Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) Priyanka Amonge organized the programme as Course Director and SMS (Soil Science), Dr. Kripal Borah as Course Coordinator.

Bharat Sarmah, District Fishery Development Officer, Tinsukia, Dr. Rabi Sankar Choudhury, Block Veterinary Officer, Hapan block and Dr. Hiramani Deka, Veterinary Officer, State Veterinary Dispensary, Tinsukia served as a resource person for the training programme. The participants were also taken to an exposure visit to the farm of Rantu Chetia at Baruahola village for better practical understanding towards livestock based integrated farming system.
