Training programme on ‘search and rescue’ during flood organized by DDMA, ASDMA

As part of flood preparedness, a two-day long training programme on ‘search and rescue’ for IWT officials, private boat owners, sailors, drivers and lessee was organized by DDMA, Nagaon in collaboration with ASDMA at the Drill Shed of Nagaon police reserve from Thursday onwards here for Dhing Ghat.

NAGAON: As part of flood preparedness, a two-day long training programme on ‘search and rescue’ for Inland Water Transport (IWT) officials, private boat owners, sailors, drivers and lessee was organized by District Disaster Management Authority, Nagaon in collaboration with Assam State Disaster Management Authority at the Drill Shed of Nagaon police reserve from Thursday onwards here for Dhing Ghat. Over 30 participants from the locations concerned participated in the training programme.

Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, DDMA Debahuti Bora, district project officer, DDMA Nagaon, senior station officer, F&ES Nagaon, field officer, disaster management, Dhing revenue circle, Aapda Mitra and other officials of F&ES Nagaon were present during the training.

DDMA Nagaon will organize another two-day long training programme for Kaliabor Ghat on July 15 and July 16 at the same Drill Shed of Nagaon police reserve.
