MAJULI: Livelihood entrepreneurship training programmes have been inaugurated by NABARD in collaboration with Ayang Trust and Institute of Handicraft Development in Majuli district of Assam. The programmes will train nearly 400 SHG women in various skills as well as support them to establish as entrepreneurs. The 4 Micro Entreprise Development Programs and 3 Livelihood Entreprise Development Programs will skill train the women in handloom weaving, bamboo and cane crafting, bakery and food processing. The inauguration programme was presided over by Rinkumoni Buragohain, DPM, ASRLM Mantu Das, DDM, NABARD, Majuli and Jorhat. The dignitaries encouraged the women to attend training programmes with utmost diligence and work towards establishing themselves as entrepreneurs for their secured future, stated a press release.
