Tripura: Assam Youth Nabbed For 'Unnatural Sex' With Calf

The arrested youth, who is a daily wage earner, is identified as Halim Uddin from Kotamoni, Patharkandi in south Assam’s Karimganj district.

Guwahati: Police on Tuesday apprehended a 23-year-old for allegedly indulging in unnatural sex with a calf in Sarala under Kadamtala police in the North Tripura district.

The arrested youth, who is a daily wage earner, is identified as Halim Uddin from Kotamoni, Patharkandi in south Assam's Karimganj district.

As per reports, the incident took place in the Bangaljum area of Sarla GP, where Halim was deployed to work as a labourer at a water supply project in the area, and allegedly took the calf to a hidden place when no other worker was present at the worksite.

However, while taking the cow away, a kid from the neighbourhood reportedly saw him and alerted a few local residents. Following this, the locals rushed to the place and allegedly found him having sexual intercourse with the animal, caught him and apprised the police of the same.

After receiving the same, a police team from the Kadamtala police station reached the spot and arrested Halim.

The reports further claimed that a case has been filed under Section 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code and under the relevant section of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
