TINSUKIA: Recovery of two bodies, one male and another female, on Tuesday from flood-affected areas of Khamti Guwali, about 6 km from Tinsukia town, created sensation in Nalini TE and adjoining places under Tinsukia Revenue Circle. While the body of Anita Barik (36) of Khamti Guwali Nalini TE was found floating in the drain at Tamul Barai Nutan line, the body of Anil Urang (44) of Boro Line of Nalini TE was found floating on swampy land near Nalini TE factory. The official source said no missing FIRs were lodged by the family members of the deceased and the cause of death would be ascertained only after post-mortem.

The recent deluge by Dibru River rendered several hundred families of Khamti Guwali, Nalini TE and nearby areas homeless and the families have taken shelter in relief camps at Khamti Guwali GP office, Nalini TE factory, Nalini Gojali Gaon, Khamti Guwali Line and Khamti Guwali Staff Club.
