Two-day training programme on Poshan Abhiyan held in Sivasagar

A two-day training programme was held at Yuva Dol auditorium in Sivasagar on November 8 and November 9 under the auspices of Poshan Abhiyan, Social Welfare Department, Sivasagar.

SIVASAGAR: A two-day training programme was held at Yuva Dol auditorium in Sivasagar on November 8 and November 9 under the auspices of Poshan Abhiyan, Social Welfare Department, Sivasagar.

The main theme of the training was 'Children's Supplementary Diet, Poshan Tracker Application and Growth Monitoring'. Project officers of all child development projects, chief nurses and two Anganwadi workers from each circle of child development projects were present as trainees.

Officials of the State Project Management Unit of Poshan Abhiyan were present as content persons at the training. The training programme was inaugurated by Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The Deputy Commissioner in his inaugural address called upon the trainees to identify the children suffering from severe malnutrition in the correct form from the district and to discharge their duties diligently for their nutrition.

The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the departmental officers and employees about the land required for the development of infrastructure of Anganwadi centres and setting up of new Anganwadi centres.
